I want to be the best that I can be.
All that God created in me.
Like someone else I cannot be.
I just want to be me.

It’s fun to enjoy the new summer fashions. The big color this summer is purple, the color of royalty. God’s phenomenal women feel privileged to be the daughter of the King of Kings.

If you have a heart of royalty it shows in your posture, shine, smile, attitude, body language and charisma. You have a passion for life, with high self esteem, and it shows! A flammable passion ignites the desire to live with power, style and vitality.

Because you know your body is your holy temple where you live, you pamper yourself. That’s ok! When you look good, and feel good, you enjoy a more positive response from the people in your circle of life. A hot social life is in fashion!

To perfect your summer hair style, check with your favorite hair stylist. Your hair is your crowning glory. A makeover for summer cosmetics is a must! Free professional help is often offered at the cosmetic counters of department stores.

Shop for jewelry that will accentuate your summer wardrobe. Inexpensive colorful beads, bangle bracelets, dangling earrings, and playful watches will add a dash of flash to your entire look.

A healthy, toned, tanned, well groomed look is the popular look for the summer 2010. Bright coordinated play clothes with strappy sandals showing French manicured toenails will give you an upbeat style as you swelter in the heat.

Glamour is a glorious feeling. It turns the gleeful side of you on. Laughter is the spice of life. It lifts your face and your spirit. Laughter establishes a positive emotional climate and a sense of connection between two people. Laughter is good for your heart and brain, two organs that require the steady flow of oxygen carried in the blood. It offsets the impact of mental stress. Laughter won’t bankrupt you and could save your life.

Crown your summer with enthusiasm!

“You can do anything if you have enthusiasm. Enthusiasm is the yeast that makes your hopes rise to the stars. Enthusiasm is the spark in your eye, the swing in your gait, the grip of your hand, the irresistible surge of your will and your energy to execute your ideas. Enthusiasm is fighters, they have fortitude, and they have staying qualities. Enthusiasm is at the bottom of progress! With it, there are accomplishments. Without it, there are alibis.”

    Savvy, Saintly, Sexy ©
by Shirley W. Mitchell, Syndicated Columnist

My friend, Carolyn, is savvy, saintly, and sexy. I met this gorgeous woman at the International Tennessee Walking Horse Celebration in Shelbyville TN. My family enjoys showing Tennessee Walking Horses and also being spectators in our horse show box which includes 6 seats near the horse show arena.

This particular fall evening the air was cracking with the excitement of the competition. Two weeks of judging the horses would escalate into picking the Grand World Champion Tennessee Walking Horse. I was introduced to this savvy, tall blond, wearing an exquisite horseshow outfit over her chiseled body. Her dark brown eyes sparkled from under the brim of her show hat. Entering the Mitchell horse show box, after she won a blue ribbon on her horse Ritzy, she took off her show gloves to shake hands.

Carolyn, passionate about winning the competition, exuded charisma as her enthusiasm filled the space with an aura of bliss.
We immediately became forever friends. A few months later she hired me to work with her in her publishing company. After her early retirement with IBM Corporation, she became a savvy business woman as CEO of her own company. Being an author, motivational speaker, and internet radio talk show host, I fit into her management team.

This savvy woman inspired me as we followed our dreams. During this time Carolyn introduced me to the publisher, The New Leaf Group, that published my books, Fabulous after 50® - Finding Fulfillment for Tomorrow, and Sensational after 60® - Loving Life All Over Again.

My best friend hooked into my dreams and together we felt the euphoria of book signings, speaking engagements, television interviews, while traveling the USA, encouraging women to be savvy, saintly, and sexy. Understanding full well my friend portrayed the perfect self-confident savvy woman, I also became aware of her huge ability to love deeply. "God is love." (1 JOHN 4:8) Admiring her huge heart of gold, giving radiant beams to all in her circle of life, in my eyes, she became a saintly woman.

A selfless woman, who responds with love to meet the needs of people, God puts in her path. She takes responsibility for her aging mother, loves her children and grandchildren. Always ready to help when someone is sick. She "shines like the stars in the universe." (Philippians 2:15 NIV)

Carolyn's 30 years old daughter, Ashley wrote this about her mother, "She is a true super woman with a heart of gold. She is without a doubt the toughest person I know. And I know I'll be blessed if I can become at least half the woman she is. I know I wouldn't be where I am today without her love and belief in my ability to grow into my own person. I love her more than words can say." Carolyn makes each day a holiday and each minute a banquet.

Understanding that the interaction of femininity and masculinity adds zest to life, she enjoys her husband's companionship, especially his support during the horses how season. He is her #1 cheerleader. This sexy, saintly, savvy, friend inspires me to new heights of excellence! Joy is the sparkle in her spirit that lights up her life so others see Jesus.

Observing the women of the twenty first century, I see a great future! Presidential candidate Hillary Clinton said in her political speech "eighteen million people voted for me. We made eighteen million cracks into the political glass ceiling!" Like my friend Carolyn, savvy, saintly, sexy women are chipping away at the glass ceiling!
